Brad practices environmental and land use law. He is among the nation's most respected environmental lawyers, having been recognized for excellence by several national and Texas publications. He has represented a broad array of commercial and industrial clients over the past 25 years.
Brad received his Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida in 1972 and his law degree from the University of Miami in 1976. After graduation from law school, Brad moved to Hartford, Connecticut where he served as Environmental Counsel to TRC, Inc., an environmental consulting firm that has since grown to national prominence. In 1981, Conoco, Inc. recruited Brad to join its Law Department in Houston, Texas. He was promoted to Supervising Counsel for Conoco's Environmental Law Division in 1983. He served in this position until 1990, at which time he entered private law practice in Houston. Brad launched his career in private practice with Fulbright & Jaworski LLP. Subsequently, he joined the Houston law firm of Hutcheson and Grundy LLP in 1993. In 1997 he joined Baker Botts LLP where he served as a partner until 2006.
In August of 2006, Brad left Baker Botts to launch a new business enterprise, Conservation Capital. Conservation Capital is a for-profit land development and conservation finance company based in Houston. In September of 2006, Brad became Of Counsel to Eggleston & Briscoe. His practice at Eggleston & Briscoe focuses on environmental regulatory matters, wetlands issues, and all aspects of land conservation law.
