Caroline's practice consists of civil litigation, with advanced experience in construction defect claims, real estate litigation, debt collection, and insurance coverage, including property casualty coverage. Caroline's practice has also focused on bad faith litigation and premise liability claims, as well as other general civil litigation.
As an example of her emphasis on construction defect claims, Caroline has represented multiple homeowners before the American Arbitration Association in claims against their builder for fraud, fraudulent inducement, negligent misrepresentation, civil conspiracy, and breach of contract and refuted the applicability of the Residential Construction Liability Act to those actions.
Caroline has also represented several national insurers in litigation relating to their denial of coverage under commercial property coverage policies on the basis of various coverage terms and exclusions, including voluntary parting exclusions, hail coverage exclusions and the events amounting to an "occurrence" under such policies.
In addition to her construction litigation and insurance practice, Caroline has represented numerous clients in various real estate matters, debt collection matters, bad faith litigation and premise liability claims.
Caroline received her B.A. from the Texas Christian University in 2000. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law, where she graduated in 2005. While attending South Texas, Caroline was a finalist in the Leroy Jeffers Intramural Moot Court Competition. Upon graduation from law school, Caroline joined Eggleston & Briscoe.
