Bell v. Katy Indep. Sch. Dist., 994 S.W.2d 862 (Tex. App.-Houston [1st Dist.] 1999, no writ)

Mr. Gregory successfully defended Katy ISD in a lawsuit challenging the validity of its sale of more than 18 acres to a real estate developer for in excess of $800,000. The plaintiffs sought an injunction to stop the sale on four occasions, alleging that the district failed to follow proper notice procedures. Following the denial of all four requests for injunctive relief, the trial court conducted an expedited bench trial. At the end of the trial, the court entered an order denying all requests for monetary relief and allowing the district to sell the land within 72 hours. The decision was affirmed on appeal.
